Hotels Near Skydive Elsinore

I have a possible business trip that will have me working in Santa Ana. I would like to stay as close to Skydive Elsinore as possible. Any recommendations?

Edited to add: also, which airport should I fly into? Ontario?

It depends on what you like. If your company is paying, you probably would like the Comfort Inn, which is a little bit further away. If you are a cheap ass skydiver like the rest of us, you will probably prefer the Lake Elsinore Casino Resort hotel which charges $25 plus tax for skydivers with valid skydiving membership. . .not the greatest place but worked for me. . .

There is also the Canyon Lake Inn (this one is a little nicer) on the other side of the freeway and then the Lakeview Inn (only slightly nicer than the casino).

These are all reasonably clean and comfortable. There is a list of them on Elsinore's website, including phone numbers. I would post a link to the lodging list but the website appears to be down right now.

One other thing, Santa Ana is not really a fun drive from Elsinore (if I remember correctly - actually Santa Ana is not a fun drive from anywhere), though it is doable. . .

If you work and will be staying in Santa Ana, John Wayne Airport is best. If you want to drive to work and deal with traffic 1 1/2hr. each way then Ontario.

On the weekend, the drive from Santa Ana to Elsinore is about 40 min. which is not bad at all.
