slotperfect 7 #1 June 28, 2004 I have a possible business trip that will have me working in Santa Ana. I would like to stay as close to Skydive Elsinore as possible. Any recommendations? Edited to add: also, which airport should I fly into? Ontario?Arrive Safely John
skyyhi 0 #2 June 28, 2004 It depends on what you like. If your company is paying, you probably would like the Comfort Inn, which is a little bit further away. If you are a cheap ass skydiver like the rest of us, you will probably prefer the Lake Elsinore Casino Resort hotel which charges $25 plus tax for skydivers with valid skydiving membership. . .not the greatest place but worked for me. . . There is also the Canyon Lake Inn (this one is a little nicer) on the other side of the freeway and then the Lakeview Inn (only slightly nicer than the casino). These are all reasonably clean and comfortable. There is a list of them on Elsinore's website, including phone numbers. I would post a link to the lodging list but the website appears to be down right now.________________________________________ Take risks not to escape life… but to prevent life from escaping. ~ A bumper sticker at the DZ FGF #6 Darcy
skyyhi 0 #3 June 28, 2004 John, One other thing, Santa Ana is not really a fun drive from Elsinore (if I remember correctly - actually Santa Ana is not a fun drive from anywhere), though it is doable. . .________________________________________ Take risks not to escape life… but to prevent life from escaping. ~ A bumper sticker at the DZ FGF #6 Darcy
Orchid 0 #4 June 28, 2004 If you work and will be staying in Santa Ana, John Wayne Airport is best. If you want to drive to work and deal with traffic 1 1/2hr. each way then Ontario. On the weekend, the drive from Santa Ana to Elsinore is about 40 min. which is not bad at all."Love is doing small things with great love."
