Anyone know what DZ in Texas is closest/best to Fort Bliss?

Probably SD El Paso. There's a couple folks that post here that jump there. There's been a couple threads with info about the DZ here as well. I'm sure if you search you'll find the info.

Hey there. Aggiedave is right, that would be SD El Paso located in Santa Teresa, NM. That is my home DZ and I can tell you all you need to know. When will you be there? Are you going to be stationed at Ft. Bliss? I've actually jumped onto Bliss for the past 3 years for Armed Forces day. The base is about 25 minutes away from the dropzone. Let me know any other questions you have.

Not moving...have BT for Army Aug-Oct in Georgia and then will be in Texas Oct-Dec for AIT. My bro is at his AIT now and said you get to leave on weekends and stuff, so I thought I'd bring my rig and jump in Texas while I'm there.

Jethers...SD El Paso eh? I'll be at Fort bliss from mid October to mid December for AIT. 25 min? Saweet...I will most likely be seein ya there on the weekends. If I come up with some other questions...I'll let ya know. Oh...what kinda of rental rigs are there? If there's anything decent I won't worry about shipping mine over there once I'm there.

I'd have your gear shipped. They don't have anything smaller then a 190 or so for gear rental. I may see you over thanksgiving and possibly a weekend in december, but other then those times I am in east Texas. Let me know if you have any other questions.
