Ron 10 #51 January 3, 2003 No, you seem like Tandem Progression... Tandem progression is a very interesting program.... I have seen several places that REQUIRE you to do at least one tandem before AFF....I kind of like the idea. Did your Tandems have levels? I think the perfect program would be maybe 2 Tandem's. On each the student pulls. 3 IAD's or S/L's. To work on just getting something out, and then a real focus on canopy control, and spotting. 1 Hop n pop. To instill massive confidence, and to be a true LOW solo. Then AFF levels 4,5,6,7. To work on body position, and basic RW skills. eyeinthesky 0 #53 January 7, 2003 i started in static progression in late august 2002, and have 11 jumps. i havent jumped since thanksgving due to a bad sled accident, hahaha. i started in bardstown KY in a little 1959 cessna packed with 3 jump students, one JM, and a pilot. im a real hands-on kinda guy, so the idea of a tandem didnt sit with me, i want to do it all myself. i have boarded 13 planes in my life and landed in two of them (jetliners), haha! doug never let anyone in your will pack your chute!hey, i was stupid before stupid was cool! SPY 0 #57 January 21, 2003 Started with IAD which was the only method at my DZ at this time. I did 700 jumps since 1994 with most of them in the last 4 years. S-P ===========================
Jasmin 0 #58 January 22, 2003 Ok, I know I've been around here a little too long but this post has been done AT LEAST 3 TIMES. Suggestion: look in the search bar when you feel like asking standard questions and if the post exists give it a new lease of life by adding to it! I don't know about anyone else but its getting a little mundane in here!~@! xj "I wouldn't recommend picking a fight with the earth...but then I wouldn't recommend picking a fight with a car either, and that's having tried both."
