Stiletto or cobalt

I was just woundering what yall would do.:S

I'd talk to SkymonkeyONE if I were you.. But I am me. SOOooo... I love my stiletto, however I tend to agree that the cobalt is a bit more forgiving. Keep in mind that in this case, Forgiving does not mean Boring. Cobalts seem to handle a larger payload and still fly efficiently.

Have fun.

Edit: properely capitalized SkymonkeyONE :P

Well Chuck and your Dad will be watching you.

But why not jump both at the 150 size, and decide which you like based on jumping the different types at the same wingload you are used to?....Then pick the one you like how it flies, and get the 135 sized one....Then listen to Chuck and Dad, and try not to die.

I may be the only one to say anything but I think at 155 jumps you may want to wait awhile for an fully elliptical canopy. I know they are fun and cool but fully elliptical canopies have their drawbacks meaning they are really alot less forgiving of input mistakes. Just thought someone should let you know that there are a lot of really fun and cool semi-elliptical canopies out there that are more forgiving of input errors. The Safire, Safire 2, Sabre 2 are some really great canopies. I realize that Atair pimps their Cobalt to beginners but in the end it is a fully elliptical canopy with all the plus’s and minus’s of a fully elliptical canopy.
Well have fun and play safe

I agree with him, but with your Dad and Chuck there I am not planning on arguing the point....

I will point out that the higest percentage of deaths last year were people with good canopies at around 300 jumps and a 1.5ish wingload....It can kill you.

But like I said not going to argue the point...just bring it up and hope for the best.

Yes i would say i can land 20 times in the same place. I don't weight but like 145 pounds so me under a 135 sq canopy is not that great. I jump almost every day if not 2 or 3 times a day. I think i will be going that small. This whole post is supposed to be about what canopy is better? But chuck is going to help me so thanks for all you guys helpB|

Question here can you land the canopy you have 20 times in a row in the same place?

Sometimes before we (me, droopy, sweeney) go up, we all pick a place we are going to land, say like on a small patch of dead grass... we hit it everytime if traffic permits.

Get a Crossfire 2. It has none of the opening issues of either! Pack it any way you want, opens like a dream!;)
