Sunrise Rigging(Wings)...dealings with me (cross-post)

Recommended Posts

Well, I've got to tell yall this. I contacted Heather (HeatherB) via PM a couple weeks ago, asking about a possible mod for my container, to relocate the main closing loop from the pack tray to the bottom flap. We talked about it there and over the phone, as well as answering some of my other questions about the container, that had come up.

Fast forward to today, I recieved a package in the mail from Sunrise Rigging. What was in it? The mod to move my closing loop! I hadn't ask for it, I just mentioned that I wanted to do it and was asking about it. She didn't even ask me for my address, just BAM its here!

Thanks Heather, tomorrow I'm calling my rigger and setting up a time he can convert it for me.

Some people say other companies have the best customer service, Sunrise Rigging proves it to me time and time again.

What is your reason for wanting to move it?

I've noticed some wear on my d-bag and slight slight wear on my canopy, from contact with the closing loop from the pack tray. The wear on the canopy is going *through* the d-bag, since there isn't any canopy outside of the d-bag. This is wear from packing (from compressing the d-bag/canopy into the container while closing), and changing the location of the loop would solve the problem for me.

As with everything else, yeah, if I pack sloppy, then I could catch a line, yada, yada, but the question is, why would I be packing sloppy in the first place. Also, looking at this mod, they (Wings) have gone out of their way to provide a very large smooth surface that will cover a good deal of the inside of the bottom flap. This will help prevent anything like that in the first place.
