Slink2 0 #1 March 10, 2003 How have most of you improved or tried to improve your (RW) freefall skills? Coach jobs? Skydive University? Wind tunnel? Practicing specific maneuvers? Just participating in any jump that comes along and hoping for the best? What have you found that helps you achieve your goals? Thanks.
Samurai136 0 #2 March 10, 2003 What are your goals? I went to Skydive U after I finished AFF and got my A license. Skydive U was a 20 jump program when I took the course. It was fun. My skills improved a lot. I had less than 100 jumps and experienced jumpers guessed I had over 500... I have not been to the wind tunnel but depending on the program (2hrs tunnel time) is more cost effective than making 120 skydives. You will learn the most when you focus training on specific skills on consecutive jumps. Just hoping for the best is like being a 3rd grader and playing football w/ your older brother's friends. They'll let you run around on the field with them but that's about it. If you have the $$ go to the tunnel or Skydive U. Otherwise find a mentor on your DZ you can work with until you've saved up for the tunnel. Ken"Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken
