mikkey 0 #2 March 20, 2003 I had a few jumps in a clipper around 1990 (assuming there are not 2 different canopies with the same name). I think Fligh Concepts produced them. It is a F111 canopy and an old design. Best for you to do a search on all Forums for "Clipper" and you will find a lot of posts and if you still need information, try to post under gear and rigging. --------------------------------------------------------- When people look like ants - pull. skycat 0 #3 March 20, 2003 we have the topskin of one being used for a bike cover...the bottom skin was used for some intentional cutaway testing. They are built by flight concepts, they make all the same canopy just gave the different sizes differnt names this one is a 9-cell 195.Fly it like you stole it! fudd 0 #5 March 20, 2003 I've been jumping one. Nice canopy, Very light on frontrisers. Nice slow openings. But my new Hornet is much better, though There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
popeyefireman 0 #6 March 20, 2003 someone is selling one made in 84 with 500 jumps, any coments "I Yam what I Yam" I am not afriad to die, only to die without living.
riggerrob 643 #7 March 20, 2003 By 500 jumps most F-111 canopies are starting to show their age. It would only be a good deal if it is cheap. Also, don't even think about loading that vintage of canopy more than 1:1.
billvon 3,107 #8 March 20, 2003 Clipper is a decent canopy; it's F111 so don't load it heavily once it gets old. Avoid the Clipper Sprint version. It wasn't all that stable.
