BigM 2 #1 April 22, 2003 Looks like we just lost a S.C. DZ. Blue Sky Adventures has closed shop. Even though I have only been jumping at that particular DZ for less than a year, it will be missed. Great people and always easy to find a jump to get in on. Blue skies to Blue Sky. "When I die, I want to go like my grandmother, who died peacefully in her sleep. darkwing 5 #5 April 22, 2003 Yes, sadly it is true. It was my home DZ. We are all heartbroken. It was completely sudden and unanticipated. Just last weekend we built a new Otter door mockup, and some jumpers moved their new camper on site. Now my team is faced with long drives to practice. -- Jeff My Skydiving History

Scoby 0 #7 April 22, 2003 That really sucks. My dropzone, Air Adventures West in Taft, CA closed a month ago. I'm jumping at Elsinore now, and while it's definitely a better DZ, it's kinda sad to not be able to jump where you learned.
skydive4u2 0 #8 April 22, 2003 I hate to hear that they are closed. Wally is a stand up guy. Anyone that was gonna go to Wallyworld for Cinco de Mayo is welcome to come to ASC in Cedartown, Georgia that weekend. We are gonna be having $14 jumps all weekend from our Super Otter. Sure would love to have all my Rodriguez Brothers come and play with us. Duce RodriguesLet's have some FUN !!!
Cajones 0 #9 April 22, 2003 It's always sad when we lose a place to get together with our family. I'm still waiting to see if it's really true. It's a great location, with a great staff. If it's true, I can only hope someone who appreciates them will keep them together. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.
pullhigh 0 #10 April 22, 2003 I would like to add that it this absoluety freaking bites! That place was like a second home to me for the last 5 years, not to mention a second family. All I ask is that those of you who loved the people there, join bsaparty@yahoogroups.com We are actively looking for a new or existing dropzone to join in with, that will be your best way to keep in touch with us.
