kansasskydiver 0 #1 May 6, 2003 Hello all I need some help. Our club is having a boogie June 13th-15th in memory of our former president who passed away on a birdman jump 2 year ago. We haven't been able to find another aircraft for our boogie yet and one Cessna just won't cut it as we found out last year. We flew 40 loads in a day with it last year and loads were backed up 2-5. We're looking for a Caravan, Porter or even another 182 to fly with ours. Our DZ is in Wamego KS, we can have a truck with Jet A if needed and the runway is long enough and wide enough to turn a king air on (not sure on the width etc, just know when we were talking about bringing in a king air it was ok) If you know of anywhere or are a DZO that could help us, please PM me and let me know. We want to have a fun boogie and raise as much money as we can for his scholarship fund, but as we saw last year, one Cessna won't cut it. riggerrob 643 #2 May 6, 2003 May I suggest sending this message to some DZOs of larger DZs (Eloy, Marana, Coolidge, Perris, Elsinore, DeLand, Z-Hills, etc.) in hot states? When it is too hot to jump in the Southwest desert, they send their planes farther north to work the boogie circuit for the summer.
Stacy 0 #3 May 6, 2003 also try aireexpress at cross keys. i know john has 3 caravans amongst his other toys. not sure what obligations they have, but worth a shot.
PhreeZone 20 #4 May 6, 2003 One other shot is Paul at Carolina Sky Sports. He's got plenty of King Air's and Otters that he could lease out, possibly even a Casa if you think you can turn the loads. I'd make the reservation with who every by the end of the week though, makes some give room if they suddenly find the plane broken. Some one else with a kick ass plane is Jim Barron. Westwind Beech 18. Turbine that holds 14 with an Otter sized door. GroundZero can get you info on calling Jim.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
