Skypup 0 #51 May 16, 2003 I live 10 minutes away from one DZ but do all my jumping 45minutes away at my Home DZ. That is except for those lunch break / after work loads. man I need to get in more of those. jwilson 0 #52 May 16, 2003 I live about 45 min. from Skydive City and about 1.5 hrs from Lakewales . I wish I lived closer because I would go out ALOT more. It would be nice to get off work and be able to make a sunset load during the week. JAy
epepepep 0 #53 May 16, 2003 Bunge, what DZ is stealing you away from CK? I actually used to live 6 miles from CK. I moved an hour away for work :( I know, I know, priorities, priorities. Hopefully, I'll move back closer someday. ep
Stacy 0 #54 May 16, 2003 i'm 40 mins from palm beach Xtreme. 1 hr 15 frm sebastian, 2 hours from homestead, 2 hours from Lake Wales, 2 from Clewiston, 2 from Titusville, 3 from ZHills, and 3.5 from Deland. I still drive to ZHIlls. I love it. Currently looking to move closer.
Jib 0 #55 May 16, 2003 Pahokee is about an hour, Clewiston about 80 minutes and Sebastian's about the same. Other DZs from Jax to Zhills are 3.5 hours or less. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. bunge 0 #56 May 16, 2003 i live 15 from Skydive Jersey Shore. A little part of me loves the tiny cessna DZ's and the view of the ocean is awsome, and i am quasi staff there. if i have the whole weekend off from my paying job, i usually spend one day at Jersey shore and one at CK BUNGE I don't hate them, I just like us better. baa75 0 #57 May 16, 2003 I'm about 30-40 minutes...for now. As it gets warmer and everyone heads to the shore I get stuck in traffic for anywhere up to about 2hrs! I started out jumping at another DZ 40 min away but a little Cessna place. Now that I'm at CK I couldn't imagine calling anywhere else home! (Even if it does mean I have to go to Jersey.) dreamsville 0 #58 May 16, 2003 I hope Palm Beach Xtreme comes back (Dave Cole, Willie, Sam). Also, I guess that Cross Keys is looking at doing something with the former Skydive America PB, but has made no decision. With the fantastic view and the great times I have had over there (my parents in PB during winter), I'd like to have a DZ in Pahokee again! |I don't drink during the day, so I don't know what it is about this airline. I keep falling out the door of the plane. Harry, FB #4143
Iflyme 0 #59 May 17, 2003 I have no idea how many times we've discussed this ... but one more time is ol, I guess. I live 15 to 20 minutes drive from the dz ... the plane often flies at about 4500' over my house on the way up ... drives me crazy when it is a nice weekend and I am not jumping. diablopilot 2 #63 May 19, 2003 On the DZ. 42 steps to my office. 54 to my Gear room. 58 to the beer fridge (got to fix that). ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

oldnewbie 0 #65 May 20, 2003 I've only been to one dropzone so i guess that HAS been my home dropzone. Well, i'm about 1800 miles from it, so about 8 hours by plane then car, or several days if i were to drive down. I think it is about time to find a new home dropzone closer to where i live!!! I don't get to jump very often this way

skydivejersey 0 #68 May 20, 2003 I cant believe how lucky everyone is. It costs me £250 and 4 hours just to get to our nearest one. Its so far away you can get there and find the weather is totally different to how it is back home...
dreamsville 0 #69 May 20, 2003 I assume the weather in France is more reliable than in the UK? Transportation-wise, do you have a choice? You live on the Isle of Jersey? I have known only one family from there that goes to North Palm Beach, Fl. in the winter. |I don't drink during the day, so I don't know what it is about this airline. betzilla 56 #70 May 20, 2003 A mile. I get the bonuses of living on the DZ, without actually having to live ON the DZ. Life is good.
BikerBabe 0 #71 May 20, 2003 Well, from my "home" DZ, I live about an hour away. From my OTHER "home" DZ, I live about 7 hrs by car or 1 hour by Southwest airlines. I consider both my home DZ, but either way, it's still too far! Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! MattM 0 #72 May 20, 2003 I live on the DZ about 20 yards from chucks camper which makes me 120 yards from the bar. But i'm not old enough to legally buy beer... its all good Matt
oldnewbie 0 #73 May 20, 2003 Yep, there are a bunch of dropzones closer than 1800 miles, i just got to get off my butt during a nice weekend if we ever have one, and start jumping there!!!
