bunge 0 #1 June 1, 2003 was wondering, does your drop zone charge extra for night jumps? extra per jump or "registration" fee? BUNGE I don't hate them, I just like us better.
RevJim 0 #2 June 1, 2003 I always thought night jumps were extra, but the 2 I did up here at Omro, WI were the same prices as day jumps. The DZO even loaned out strobes, free of charge! I was told via email by Missy that Skydive Chicago is the same way, nothing extra for night jumps, but I'm pretty sure you better have your own strobe there. It's your life, live it! Amazon 7 #3 June 2, 2003 We just did night jumps at Skydive Snohomish in WA on Thurs night, no extra charge and was a great group effort with the ground crew and jumpers. Amazon
dragon2 2 #4 June 2, 2003 Quotewas wondering, does your drop zone charge extra for night jumps? extra per jump or "registration" fee? Ours charges extra, I think because our airport closes at 8pm or sunset whichever comes first. Therefore the plane has to be in the air by then, and keep circling until it's dark enough, then drop the jumpers and go land at another airport. Then the pilot gets a ride home and the next day a ride back to fly the plane back. All in all, I think the approx. 2x jump price they charge is kinda cheap ciel bleu, Saskia
masher 1 #5 June 2, 2003 Thats a fairly convoluted scheme. But at least you get to do night jumps. Our DZ isn't allowed to do them: Council regulations say no.-- Arching is overrated - Marlies
