phonics1981 0 #1 July 2, 2003 Reading through some of the posts on here, I see people referring to D-1 etc when talking about AFF. What does this mean? I took my AFF Levels 1 to 8. ------------------------------------------------------ "Ive given up on sigs cos I make a mess of them!" ------------------------------------------------------
eeneR 3 #2 July 2, 2003 There are multiple different progressions, in the US there is AFF, AFP and ISP as well as S/L and IAD. Other countrys have different programs than the U.S. I was trained on the AFP program at SDC. Renee
Muenkel 0 #3 July 2, 2003 Here in the U.S. they stopped calling them numbered levels and put them into categories. It's still basically the same thing as the original 7 level program. Chris _________________________________________ Chris

Chris That is not really accurate, Chris. True ISP-based AFF involves nine jumps in the different lettered categories before being cleared to self supervise and get coaches for the other requisite sign-offs. "AFF" can be very different from dropzone to dropzone; something the ISP was supposed to fix. STill, many dropzones keep to what they know.
