Rdutch 0 #1 July 11, 2003 We were talking about the incedent in England, where the guys rig was tampered with. Someone said that it had happened to a member of Airspeeds rig a few years ago, but it was found before they jumped. I dont recall ever hearing about this and I was wondering if anyone knew of it, or if this is even true. Supposedly the rig was lent to someone not on the team, and he did an inspection, and found something cut. Just curious? Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of! Remster 30 #2 July 11, 2003 I dnt have any specific details on the Airspeed rig, but do remember it. As I recall, there are 2 other incidents that come to mind, on which I dont have any other info handy: - one of the Mullin's kids rig (dont know which one) - and one incident in mainland Europe (Germany I think) If someone has details to any or all these handy, a copy paste or URL would be great....Remster Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The guy cut her reserve ripcord at a point which is inside the housing. On visual inspection, not obvious that the handle-end of the ripcord was not attached to the pin-end! As far as I know, the guy is serving (or was serving) time for murder in jail. Ron 10 #4 July 11, 2003 The Airspeed rig was Kirk Verners...A guy did jump it, and cut away and landed under a really screwed up reserve. This was at Vandaila IL. The Mullins Kid was Charlie. Charlie pulled out his reserve to put a new one in and found the damage. Charlie had been in Vandaila with his Dad right before this. These was a packer in DeLand that claimed her rig had this done to it. Don't remember her name, but I remember that no one really believed her. Ron Thanks Ron, and thanks for reminding me, I cant believe I forgot the one in Deland, It was a packer named Nancy, it happed a few years ago, no one believed her, because she pulled her reserve for no reason, but there was a girl that she fired a few days before, that was reported to be violent, and not mentally stable, and her own mother called the dz to report that her daughter had stolen from her and was suposedly heading that way. Another rig was found just after the first, with the same problem (reserve cable cut, and a rubber band was tied onto it and shoved back into the channel). The owner of the second rig was also a packer, so this kinda makes it look like it was the girl that got fired, but no one is sure. I dont know what came of it.
