BravestDog 0 #1 July 17, 2003 1. How fast do the speed skydivers go when they are doing the speed skydiving stuff? Please give me your response in miles per hour. 2. How fast vertically and horizontally do regular jumpers travel when they are tracking? Thanks
AggieDave 6 #2 July 18, 2003 Go to http://www.speedskydiving.net for the first question. I'll give you what I've done, though. I've done 169mph on my belly and 275mph on my head.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

I track at 155 km/h approx, and went 410 km/h (must be an error on my protrack) head down (max, not average), my max average is approx 320 km/h the max average is a french guy, Mike Brooke approx 520 km/h. He is a fast man indeed...---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT
Amazon 7 #5 July 18, 2003 Check out the forementioned website. And keep a KPH to MPH converter handy. The fastest my protrack has registered is 241 MPH in a head down dive with an average for the dive at 204 MPH. ( just wait for the next Speed event in this country Euro-go-fast girls). I need a bit different equipment the next time I try that though.. A Z-1 open face and Sorz goggles are scary at that speed. I plan on making my own little vinyl number to dive in as well, an RW suit can feel like its beating you to death at those speeds On my belly in a very tight suit I can usually get a range from 125 to 150 depending on how I de-arch or tuck it all in...IT all depends on body position. The faster speeds make for a good stable base for doing hybrid dives... those are serious fun. Amazon
