quade 4 #1 July 22, 2003 http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_800672.html If there is anyone in the UK that could record this, convert to mpeg and then upload it to the server I'm sure everyone outside of the UK would be interested in seeing this. The attached photo is from the Ananova web story and I assume it's the actual rig in question. Quote Crimewatch to feature skydive murder A reconstruction of the events leading up to the suspected murder of a skydiver will be staged on national television. Army cadet Stephen Hilder, 20, died after plunging 13,000ft at Hibaldstow Airfield, north Lincolnshire, on Friday July 4. Police launched a murder inquiry after revealing that the cord on his main parachute and the strapping on his reserve chute had been deliberately severed. Detective Superintendent Colin Andrews, of Humberside Police said he was very keen to get the inquiry on to the BBC's Crimewatch programme. "It does have very good results and may just provide us with the break we need to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding Stephen's death. "I believe that there is someone out there, more than likely a member of the skydiving community, who knows exactly what happened to Stephen's parachute pack and why, and I am confident we will get that information. "It is a wicked crime and somebody out there holds the key to this investigation," he said. Crimewatch will be broadcast on BBC1 at 9pm on Thursday, July 24. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

quade 4 #4 July 22, 2003 Yeah, I suck. People beat me on this one days ago and I hadn't thought about it since then. I just saw it pop-up again on news.google.com and I wanted somebody to record it so that I could see it. Just me being selfish again. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Malev 0 #5 July 24, 2003 Some more info at: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/humber/3091597.stm Among other things, it looks like they will be showing the camera flyer's footage of the three-way.
mr2mk1g 10 #6 July 24, 2003 Yes, the cameraman was my buddy as were the other two on the three-way. The footage will be shown in full and there have already been a couple of clips of steve dirt-diving. The other two members of the three-way were involved in the filming of the reconstruction and have warned us that there are gonna be some fairly significant continuity errors. The producers simply didnt want to listen to them when they tried to point out that its hardly propper to see them wandering arround in the background with their canopies over their shoulders when the "gearing up" scenes are being filmed. Will have to wait and see how realistic its gonna be. I would second what other people have said in the incidents forum about Crime Watch usually being non sensationalistic and true to life. gus 1 #7 July 25, 2003 Did anyone else watch it? It was alot better than I was expecting: accurate and not sensationalised. It also seems to have thrown up a lead to a possible motive. GusOutpatientsOnline.com
phonics1981 0 #8 July 25, 2003 I watched it and thought it was very good. I'm pleased it turned up a lead and I hope they string the bastard up by his bollocks. ------------------------------------------------------ "Ive given up on sigs cos I make a mess of them!" ------------------------------------------------------
Malev 0 #9 July 25, 2003 QuoteDid anyone else watch it? It was alot better than I was expecting: accurate and not sensationalised. I was a bit skeptical of this before the programme was shown, but like yourself I found it was a lot better than I had anticipated. It was chilling watching some of the footage, but it was handled fairly senstively, and I hope some good will have come of it. From what they were indicating, it also had a better response than I thought it would have - hopefully that these new leads will prove positive!
