SkydiveNFlorida 0 #16 August 4, 2003 True! I'll develop them Even tho the pix are fuzzy, they are really great cuz you can see how happy I am to be there. I wonder if I ever stop smiling at the DZ?! lol!! Especially like the one of us together! I'm workin' on it! I'll see what I can get checked off on the proficiency card this wknd! All I wanna do is jump, but I know I gotta take care of some stuff,... maybe Dave will be around to teach me some pilot stuff... and I should probably take the day to learn to pack one day, it's like 50$, tho.. so hard not to jump with the 50$. haha! Lata sweety Angela.

phonics1981 0 #19 August 4, 2003 At my DZ someone will show you how to pack for free. I even asked the rigger and he said just watch other people for a while and i'll fill in the gaps and make sure you know. Still havent learned yet though! ------------------------------------------------------ "Ive given up on sigs cos I make a mess of them!" ------------------------------------------------------
sunnydee123 0 #20 August 4, 2003 As far as I know you have to have a packer/rigger person sign off on your card for it to be legit. (at least that better be the case since that is what I was told back in the day) but it was good....one on one packing so any and all questions you had got answered and after 8 pack jobs and my knees being RAW, I jumped it and felt happy that I could do it.....packing has become my friend these days - it's my rule if I want to travel. Want to travel - must suck it up and pack for yourself.....but at the end of a long day of jumping and my fingers just not wanting to grab the stows, I don't mind batting the eyes a little and seeing if it will get me a little extra help (shoot me.....it's the one time I'll play the "cute girl" card and not be ashamed to admit it )...and I have no problem backing up the eye batting with a nice cold beer of choice either Angela...it's either $50 bucks now or $50 bucks later and then water training is more cash and then you'll want to get a nice used rig and then you'll want your own helmet, alti and jumpsuit and then............oh yes - it is never ending......BUT I HAVE YET TO STOP SMILING - first time being broke isn't a big deal to me. Blue ones you~ D Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #21 August 4, 2003 aaahhh!@! Damn, ima be one broke ass bitch! Ok, maybe i'll suck it up and learn 2 pack this wknd. Sounds like a helluva lotta fun I sure as heck want my own helmet! I want everything... but I really want a full face helmet first! thx D! Angela. CalFreefall 0 #22 August 5, 2003 Great Job Angela! I'm happy for you that you got through so fast. Nice Pics. I can't believe you haven't developed your first jump pics yet. I ran to a one hour photo the next day. I am calling tomarrow for my AFF-2. Hopefully they will have an opening this weekend. Enjoy your next ride, Chris
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #23 August 6, 2003 Thanks, Chris! I'll get 'em developed soon:p I'm sure they'll fit you in, the classes are much shorter after aff1 (thank god! haha),.. good luck on jump two! If you can afford it, try to get another done in the same day. It's always easier once you've done your first jump of the day:) Cya in the sky! Angela.
