andy2 0 #2 August 10, 2003 I think the first and most obvious step is to become a proficient skydiver. (technically I guess you could become a dealer, rigger, etc where you wouldnt need skydiving skills but I take it you're talking about becoming an instructor) --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm... airtwardo 7 #4 August 11, 2003 Well.. You're in the right place! Seem to have the right attitude! Get to it youngster! And good luck to you!!! I was 18 when I started, 28 years ago... and I've been paid to jump more often than I've paid to do it. Anything is possible if you want it bad enough... My wife wanted to fly since she was 14.....she's now a 777 pilot for a major airline. GO FOR IT! CloudOnMyTongue 0 #5 August 11, 2003 First you need to save a lot of money at some other job that sucks. Or else get a bank loan that you won't have to start paying back for 5 years. And once you get the money you can spend it ALL on learning how to skydive.

AggieDave 6 #7 August 11, 2003 I wrote something about how I became a tandem instructor a while back, I think it was in this forum, if you search you'll probably find it. Now, a quick list of things to do for you to become VERY good VERY quick: 1. Go through an AFF program or Tandem ISP. 2. Go through Skydive U. 3. Go to an Airspeed tunnel camp 4. Jump your nutz off--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
