The last three days at Lost Prairie

I've been away from a computer for a few months. I was just wondering if anything big happened during the last few days at Lost Prairie. That is usually when they have all the record attempts (Men's, Women's, Pop's) etc., not to mention the wild times at the bar. After 30 jumps, my wife said it was time for me to clear out of that place. What a blast! It was kinda hot and windy and grasshoppery this year. I wasn't able to bring my camper, because my wife had the pickup, and spent much of my free time inside of a very hot dome tent, swimming in the lake, or drinking a cool one in Dave's bar.

I enjoyed jumping with Bill Von, Amy, and Amazon. All are great people and excellent jumpers. I heard there may have been a (.com) load. I hope I didn't miss it........Steve1

There was a women's attempt that I organized, but it didn't work. The second jump came quite close though. Some clouds, another brewery jump, some singing, the usual.

Way too windy.. and WAY too many grasshoppers... but the lake in the afternoon ROCKED..who woulda thunk it.. Montana with nice warm swimming water... the stuff around Seattle is COLD.

The Bar...was hoppin.. nekkid bar dives... lots of fun had by all...I hardly had anything to drink at all....as the my canadian friend Ned said.. EATING jello shooters isn't drinking.

We never did get an all DZ.Com skydive together..altho many of us were on varying loads together.

I think the POPS got an official 21 or 22 way.. but the 37 way we tried did not happen..too many out

Bill Von organized a 35 way womens atttempt.. we had 1 out.. another jump or two we would have had it but we only did 2 jumps.

We did put a 20 way Texas star together for Texas Tom.. finally.. we just put the 2 ton 20 way base together ( we never did get the 2 ton 20 way load organized... way too many people in denial about being 200 pounds) with the Texas people and got it done.

The Chorus on Fri and Sat nights were fun.. man you have to stick around for those.

My reserve went out of date on the 3rd so I popped it.. and need to clean the LP dust and grasshopper guts off of it ( 30 jumps with only 2 crash and roll landings... I did kill a BUNCH of grasshoppers on those). But no hurry its salmon season.. I got my limits all last week even with the almost sinking of F/V Amazon on the Columbia Bar... I hate catching so many fish..... WAY to many fish to fillet.. and none of my friends can fillet a salmon without wasting too much salmon... I HAVE to fillet the fish for them.. I hate wasting good salmon. The limit is up to 3 fish a day as of this weekend.
