darkwing 5 #2 August 18, 2003 The really sad thing is that those may have been the only two people on the airplane. I'm jealous. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
kai2k1 0 #3 August 18, 2003 The ole tube with wings lol, that plane is the noisiest damn aircraft ive ever flown in, and theyre the coldest damn things also. I flew in them when i was in the army being deployed to Turkey and Iraq in 1991. but, you can get comfy in the jump seats blue ones KAI There's no truer sense of flying than sky diving," Scott Cowan

sinker 0 #6 August 18, 2003 gawd, I'd just love the view of exiting the tailgate of that mutha, here the whine of those 4 big turbojets, feel that jet blast. man... when my dad was in the military, when it was time to move, we used to be transported to oversees bases on 141s. they'd have some old airliner seats up at the front of the cargo hold, facing backwards, looking at the cargo. it was very cold inside and VERY loud. and the only windows were those little round portal windows on the exit doors. man those were uncomfortable flights. -the artist formerly known as sinker

kai2k1 0 #8 August 18, 2003 Yes, it was a 141, they did have the blue seats facing backwards and stacked on top of each other. but we had a real cool load master that popped one of the benches down and let us stretch out on it for a nap. if i remember correctly the benches were an orange color and there was orange cargo netting for the backrests. dgskydive 0 #10 August 19, 2003 I never saw any blue seat on a 141. Not saying they don;t have them. I just nver saw any. Every 141 or 130 I ever jumped had cargo netting for seats. The damn things where never comfortable. My ass would go numb if it was a long flight before we jumped. Boy was I glad when a fnished Jumpmaster school and could walk around in them without getting yelled at.Dom
LouDiamond 1 #11 August 19, 2003 That is one fun A/C to jump from. It's so damn big that you can get a running start at the tail gate and the Hill is fucking humungous. besides the C5 and C17, it my favorite to jump from."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
