Flygator 0 #1 August 21, 2003 Yesterday was my 40th birthday and I made 40 jumps celebrating all 40 years. We didn't get started until almost lunchtime because of heavy fog but I averaged 1 jump every 6-10 minutes with no reserve rides!!! Now Saturday I take my "D" test! woohoo! 10 months ago I took my first tandem and now look! I really feel 40 the day after because I'm sore from my head to my toes. Thanks to all the ones that helped out!!!

selbbub78 0 #4 August 21, 2003 40 Jumps in ONE day!!!!!! Insanity. I thought 11 was bad enough (that was when i first got my A license). That's awesome!!!! Congrats on your accomplishment, good luck on the D test. Anyone that does 40 jumps, no reserve rides, deserves their D. nightjumps 1 #5 August 21, 2003 Congratulations on 40 in one day. That's quite an achievement. Most I've done is 16 in a day. I will caution you that doing this "might" become an addiction (like skydiving already isn't, right?) Four years ago, Dale Settle - owner of Skydive Tulsa did 36 to celebrate his 36th birthday. Each year, we've pushed it further and wrapped it around a charity event until earlier this year when he made 104 skydives in 12 hours with one reserve ride. He had just turned 40. juanesky 0 #6 August 21, 2003 Damn, I would like to be there doing RW with you....even if it was hop & ................pop. Happy B-day.. and glad you made it safe.... The most in one day for me has been 18, and 30 min in the wind tunnel, and I had to take a day off after.... Kramer 0 #7 August 21, 2003 40 in one day?!? Wow! Congrats man. So give is the logistics of how that went down? Were there just 40 rigs on the ground ready for you to jump or what? Who organized this? How much did it cost you? Etc.... Very interesting accomplishment, good work. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!! Rdutch 0 #8 August 21, 2003 Congratulations! I did 43 in one day earleir this year, the goal was 50 but an injury stopped it early. I dont know if I was more happy or dissapointed. It definitely was the hardest skydiving day of my life, but also a lot of fun. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

icemaker 0 #11 August 21, 2003 Way to go!!!!! The most I have done in one day is 22 and that was for my "D" license also. I am more impressed with 200 in 10 months. Now I can have my friends read this when they tell me that I am spending way to much time at the DZ and that 450 jumps in a little over two years is excessive. Flygator 0 #13 August 21, 2003 Thanks everybody! Yes I'm very sore! That's why I took today off so I can recover. We had 3 to 5 packers as needed with 3 chutes. Altitude was anywhere from 2500 feet up to 4500 feet. Towards the end of the jumps the climb rate shot up on the Cessna which got us up in the same amout of time. I had 1 major line twist, a 1000 foot snivel where I was already too low and almost fired my cypress, two bad landings on my personal chute and several single line twists. It was great but not sure if I'll do 50 on my 50th! . Flygator 0 #15 August 22, 2003 15000 feet jumps would have at least given me a few minutes to breathe and more time to cool off! .
