Nervous Nelly

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I'm new, but :)
I was just pondering.
I always get so psyched after and right before a jump, but I always feel so nervous the night before. Just a clarification but I'm getting ready to do my aff3 and if all goes well aff4 tomorrow. During the jump, i'm relaxed and all but I just get anxious prior because I really want to do everything right and not have to redo it. (already had to redo jump one cause i panicked) but all has gone very well since. In any case, I guess i'm just venting. I love jumping, I just don't have much extra time or money for mistakes. Do you feel me on this one? Peace!

I definately understand where your coming from, skydiving aint cheap especially for students! But, and as hard as it may sound, you just need to RELAX! People always perform better when they are more relaxed. And, each jump is a blast right? So who cares if you fail, your having fun and you'll get it when you get it. The biggest thing though is to just chill, it does wonders :P

You WILL get there, took me nine jumps to pass AFF,

1st level 3, broken ankle - fail
2nd level 3, 5 months later, failed due to brainlock - fail,
3rd level 3, relaxed, chilled had fun and passed.

Just relax but also accept that there are going to be some nerves, after all you are stepping out of a plane! It aint natural but it sure is fun:)
