weekendwonder 0 #1 October 7, 2003 Just back from Perris for the 2003 POPs World Record attempts. Unfortunately, we weren't successful in breaking the existing record after getting so close on several dives, but a great time was had by all who participated. Many thanks to Carey Peck, the plane captains, Perris Skydive, and the countless others who worked so hard to make it a great weekend. Wait'll next year... Blue skies, Bob P. Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

sdctlc 0 #7 October 8, 2003 I am sorry to hear that they dd not complete I have a number of friends that went and I was hoping that they would complete it... I am curious as to what they built to and if there is a overview that somebody put up somewhere???? I would be interested in taking a look to see bout the weekend... From what i have seen on line looks like everybody is ok but they just did not complete the attempt. Also are there any pics on line?? Thanks, Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" weekendwonder 0 #12 October 8, 2003 I'd be interested, as well. Or maybe you should just post it here so you don't have to deal with keeping track of who wants it? Bob Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Hey, I was on that jump, why can't we call it "Mary"? Really it was a rock and roll jump trying to build a speed star from the previous point. Are you saying I take "desperation" gribs Look at me in my slot on the other picture, I'm trying to give the guy the "legs out" AFF signal. weekendwonder 0 #21 October 9, 2003 Oooohhhh... 'twas true, that was a dicey grip on my part there, but understandable considering how badly I got hosed on the exit. haven't had to "belly up to the formation" like that in a looooonnnggg time (which is what it took to get back up to it). jumperconway 0 #23 October 9, 2003 The pics here show the almost completed formation before Quade got involved. http://www.raoulgravell.com . Also it has been indicated to me that Dan BC has agreed to help out next year for the whole event! I'm sure that it Will be had next year! Hopefully the bench will be a little deeper next year. I know quite a few very good jumpers that will be new to POPs next year!
