LouDiamond 1 #26 October 14, 2003 I have found that the boogies that have the best parties are the ones that I attend. Coincidence, I think not"It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
flyangel2 2 #27 October 14, 2003 Gotta go with the most votes on this thread so far. WFFC rocks. Ten days of skydiving and parties at night.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
marks 0 #28 October 14, 2003 i think the WFFC is the only party that i got to take a break from for 12 hours.....geese.. 10 days takes its tole on you......
Patman 0 #29 October 14, 2003 WFFC!!! I'd post some stories, but they're still kinda fuzzy! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?
Amazon 7 #30 October 15, 2003 I cant believe not one single mention has been made of the Lost Prairie Boogie...you are litterally 40 miles from the nearest small town.. in the mountains... with a LOT of people who KNOW how to party.. with plenty of big airplanes.... and its been going on for 30 some odd years.... did I mention its WAY out in the BOONIES.. no distractions other than skydiving.. and partying all night...every night. But the downside.... there were only about 450 some odd hard core skydiving partiers there.. its not an easy place to get to.. but the parties are fairly intense. NightJumper 0 #31 October 15, 2003 QuoteI cant believe not one single mention has been made of the Lost Prairie Boogie... That's because by the sound of it no one can remember where they were. But the WFFC is still #1. They even put a fence up around us so the public can't see or get to us. The police only have two rules... 1. Don't hurt anyone and 2. Don't take anything that is not yours. Everything else is and was fair game.

wingnut 0 #36 October 16, 2003 Quoteanyone got any stories to back up these claims? Should make for some interesting reading... wffc by far.. and if you wern't there, well what happens at wffc, stays at wffc.... it gets pretty crazy...... okay so one side story then..... setting up my tent one day at like 5am (hadn't slept in like 36 hours) i met this dude looking for skymonkey1's dad, tell him i dont know him but i do know his son, then i hear chuck a little while after and go tel him about this dude... we hop on the jacked up golf cart, find the dude and chuck knows him and tells one hell of a story about him.. very funny.. then we proced to drive all over the convention grounds in the gold cart waking up half of the convention...... and that was only one of the 10 days........ wffc by far..... but then again i can only compare it to mardi gras boogie and eloy last year.......... p.s. it also depends on who you know at the boogies too to how wild of a time you have...... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
TallGuy 0 #37 October 16, 2003 Gotta agree with Amazon. Sure the WFFC parties were bigger and the fence did a great job of keeping out much of the wuffo rif raf, but every night I was there it felt kinda like a college meat market bar. I never got to know anyone really that well there. It probably had to do with the sheer number of people there. The general vibe and atmosphere at Lost Prairie was bar none the best I've ever been witness to. Hope to see more of you there next year. I'm afraid I'll be passing on Rantoul. LouDiamond 1 #39 October 16, 2003 THIS is the GOLD cart that the s sported at WFFC. By far, the baddest ride there"It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
kallend 2,146 #40 October 16, 2003 QuoteGotta be Couch Freaks Have to agree - I thought Couch Freaks was more fun (although smaller) than WFFC.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
mccurley 1 #41 October 18, 2003 Simple answer is the boogie with the best parties is the one you're at. I never heard of anyone having a good time at a party they didn't attend!Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI

You just didn't like the company in there. Besides, the showers weren't involved in the parties.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. NoShitThereIWas 0 #44 October 19, 2003 So far, I'd have to say last summer the WFFC rocked, Summerfest a couple years back was pretty decent and the "old" Halloween Boogies at Skydive Monterey Bay were All Good . There was always lots of LOVE there. Lost Prairie and Couch Freaks are definitely on the list of "New Boogies to Try" as long as they don't conflict with the WFFC.Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
