Brian425 0 #1 October 25, 2003 So my title of god of wind and rain still holds. Lots of strange and strong winds at the ranch today. No student jumps. I was hoping to get my 10th and 11th jumps in. It looks like I will have to wait until next week. The GOOD news is that I bought a Cypress (man 05/01 with new battteries on 8/03) and I have a deal on a use Javelin with a 170 reserve a jump suit and goggles. Now all I need is a 170 main and I'll be all set. No gear rental for me!! If anyone wants a DZ shut down, we can work out a deal. You pay for my jumps, beer and transportation and I can gaurantee almost constant wind and rain. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand. It wasn't until load five when the winds suddenly lost their mind. And, towards the end of the day, it calmed down. As for the 170 main, if you're interested, I've got a Sabre2 170 burning a hole in a plastic bag. I don't want to sell it, but I VERY rarely use it and you're more than welcome to use it until you find something to buy. Got about 200 jumps on it. Cut away once from a wrap, no damage. Fid me at the DZ or e-mail. Stay safe, Mike If you're gonna' be stupid, well, then you're most likely stupid.

selbbub78 0 #4 October 26, 2003 Stop showing up at the ranch then, and let us have nice weather there so the rest of us can jump. AdD 1 #5 October 26, 2003 What's your wingloading gonna be like on that 170 ? Seems like a little less fabric than I'd like over my head at our level of experience.Life is ez On the dz Every jumper's dream 3 rigs and an airstream
Brian425 0 #6 October 26, 2003 I have already been asked to bring beer, say hello and go home. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
Brian425 0 #7 October 26, 2003 AdD, I am about 155lbs. I spoke with my coach about it and she said that it would be ok. I was 177lbs with a 215 student rig. I think i should be right about 170lbs with the smaller rig and canopy. My landings have been pretty good. All except one standing so far. My original plan was a 190. My coach said she felt I could handle a 170. I would not buy any gear at this level without bringing it to my caoch first. I appreciate your concern and the question. Thanks for keeping a eye out for me. By the way. I heard that the winds picked up at the ranch after load four. I showed up at a little after 11:00. I think I heard the call for load 5. I was definitely there for load 6. Do you fear me yet? The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
selbbub78 0 #8 October 26, 2003 lol, ya bring beer. We always accept that Ya load 4 was fine (i was on it), then load 5... It was awful. It wasn't high winds, just incredibily weird wind patterms. I guess it happens. lol, let us know when you're going to be at the ranch, i'll go somewhere else. Just kidding, you'll get your license soon enough. Eventually the weather will cooperate "Women fake orgasms - men fake whole relationships" – Sharon Stone "The world is my dropzone" (wise crewdog quote) "The light dims, until full darkness pierces into the world."-KDM
Brian425 0 #9 October 26, 2003 Don't worry, I don't give up easily. I will complete this. I am close to having all my gear so I will all set up for spring. Next week is Nicky's last week as an instructor unitl spring. So I may have to bother Pete to jump with me to get my last student jumps in if the weather won't cooperate. No matter what I will be back in the spring to jump more. B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand. selbbub78 0 #10 October 26, 2003 Ya, just pester pete! Hopefully you'll be able to finish though, then you can do winter jumps, and such by the way, when did you actually leave the ranch? By any chance was it around 4, or 4:30ish? I think that's when the weather started to clear up a little bit."Women fake orgasms - men fake whole relationships" – Sharon Stone "The world is my dropzone" (wise crewdog quote) "The light dims, until full darkness pierces into the world."-KDM
