perris wind tunnel

Anyone on the ground at perris know the progress of the wind tunnel, can give us updates on estimated opening date. There was a clock saying how many days to opening on their web site, but that has been removed. Sign of delay?

It is getting closer to completion that is for sure. From what I have heard they had some issues with the design of the whole thing. I could be wrong but my impression was that the parts weren't fitting together right. It has been taken care of but I think it put them behind a week or to. Look like it should be ready middle or end of next month. They have just in the last week started putting up the outer walls, and it seems like a bunch of activity is going on inside of it. Check Perriscam they have been putting up pics still.

The structure is up, but the last of the roof isn't on yet. Don't know what that means in terms of completion dates.

My instructor at Perris told me 2-4 weeks.

I went there today with high hopes and it's not up and running...they're focused on getting ready for their halloween festival..

Getting the wind tunnel ready for Halloween? Or just getting ready for halloween?

Unfortunately they were just getting ready for the Halloween weekend/Festival with big movie screens, etc..no talk on the wind tunnel.
They were doing 11K earlier in the day and then b/c of the fires, by 1pm were only doing 5K hop and pops...and then called it a day. They should be on reg schedule today (Tues) because the wind has changed direction and the smoke has cleared a little.
