Fast 0 #2 October 9, 2003 I have seen two backpacks at my DZ that look like the staff's vectors. They are smaller but look like a super mini rig.~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. Kramer 0 #5 October 10, 2003 Holy Crap, this is really weird. I was walking to class today (I kid you not), and thought to myself "I wish they made backpacks that looked like canopy containers...oh well". And bam, this thread is posted. That'll make you think. I've gotta get ahold of one of these backpacks. -Kramer The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
baa75 0 #6 October 10, 2003 Yep, I have the mini VooDoo that came with & matches my bf's rig. I know Wings makes them too, saw it on their website. I think they're all roughly $50 each but it varies a little by manufacturer. I'm still thinking of getting my kids little Wings backbacks to match my rig. They'll be the coolest kids at daycare! There's this kid at my DZ (about 4 years old) who runs around wearing a mini rig with his jammies (as a jumpsuit) an old altimiter and a toy parachute. He's at the DZ more than I am! (And makes more "jumps" than I do too...just ask him!) BettyAnn Getting married? Check out my website!

I checked on it last week. They actually take the serial number from your rig so they can look up the colors and build a custom mini rig to match your rig. Rick said they're a bit backed up right now because the guy that makes them is heavily involved with Nationals but if you put in your order now you might have something back before Christmas.Katie Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
 Designer 0 #14 October 10, 2003 I bought 2 at z-hills.A vector and a javelin(I think?)Both were very nice.Beware, the zips get worn out, going in and out of them so much.Started learning to fix my own.The mater separates form the actual zipper.A little pressure applied to the mater with a pair of needle nose pillars will hold it together for awhile until you can get the zipper replaced. I ordered the backpack from the best gear shop in the world. (The best gearshop in the world is located in Deland, Florida in case you didnt' know. It's called TSO-D or The Skydiving Outlet-Deland) I mentioned in this thread that I wanted a rig-like backpack, and I got a PM from "Arlo", who works at TSO. She gave me all the details of how to obtain one. You can order a Javelin, Racer, or Vector backpack. They come in the color of your choosing, and cost $45 (that includes shipping). I ordered a Javelin, and chose Black and Yellow for the colors. It took two weeks from the time I ordered it, till the time I had it in my hand. The backpack itself is very cool. The flaps where the canopy would typical spring out of on a rig, open up to hold accessories on the backpack. It's a very quality item, and is probably going to look pretty pimp at the DZ, so for $45, it's a nice little deal. Again, if you want one of these, just PM "Arlo", she's the coolest member ever, super-nice, etc...she'll hook ya up.
