I'll be interested to see if orlando matches.--------------------------------------------- Randy
GeeeeeeFly 0 #6 November 2, 2003 Can you freefly with those speeds? Without the use of some special suit? Reason being in a typical freefly jump you usually reach speeds in the 160-180. Will the tunnel be able to support that type of discipline or are we limited to RW? quade 4 #7 November 2, 2003 QuoteCan you freefly with those speeds? Without the use of some special suit? It's going to depend on a number of factors, you being one of the more important ones. I have a friend that is going to be one of the tunnel instructors at Perris and she went down to Orlando for training. I'll admit that she's pretty light weight, but she's also an -excellent- freeflyer. The tunnel rats in Orlando never got tired of turning the wind speed all the way up and trapping her in the upper section of the tunnel. Try as she might, she simply wasn't able to stand, head down, wall crawl or do anything to get herself down without them lowering the wind speed. So, I think at least some people will find it's more than capable of allowing them to freefly pretty well in it in any position. Also, you might wanna check out THIS article to see what kinds of things are already being done at the Orlando Tunnel with regards to freefly.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
