themitchyone 0 #1 November 2, 2003 I did level 5 yesterday, but I don't feel successful because my JM had to deploy my canopy: my first time . At first I thought it was me, because it was so cold yesterday, it took everything to stay focused, but my JM told me it wasn't my fault-- my container had shifted and my pilot chute was quite a reach over. He told me I'll need to make sure my leg straps are always extra tight. The more I think about it though, I realize it was a learning experience. If I were alone, I would've had to do the EP, which obviously yesterday, didn't have to be an option. The experience really hit home the lesson: try it once, try it again, then do to the EP. On the flip side, my landing pattern was great, although I pulled my usual too-little-too-late flare! I also learned another lesson: don't jump with a head cold. I was on the tail-end of it, but after the jump I lost my voice and my head felt like it would explode. You know what? The beer and Bailey's didn't help! Today, I'm a phlegmy mess ."If the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girl's sports such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing." - Homer Simpson

themitchyone 0 #3 November 4, 2003 Well, ya know I think every jump deserves AT LEAST one beer "If the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girl's sports such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing." - Homer Simpson
