PlayDough 0 #1 November 5, 2003 I Just recently moved very close to the ocean. I know the moist air affects everything around me. Judging from the rust formed on my refrigerator as I moved in... that this is definitely something I need to think about. What precautions should I take for my javelin? Surely there is something I need to keep in mind with my 3 ring system as well as my hip and chest rings? Some helpful advice if anyone has any. Brandon. airtwardo 7 #2 November 5, 2003 I lived In Ocean Beach for 12 years... Right on the beach, Never had a problem with the 'stainless' hardware on my rigs. The chrome on the Harley went to shit in a month... but the rigs were fine. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
towerrat 0 #3 November 5, 2003 I live in florida where there is a lot of moisture in the air. I just try to keep everything clean and dry.Different regions of the world are going to cause different wear, and there's not much you can do about it. I work at a large DZ, so I see a lot of rigs from all over.It seems to me that the sand and dust from the desert is hardest on gear. Don't drag your gear and keep it dry.
