champu 1 #26 November 11, 2003 pulling lower to avoid the cold would be like driving faster to avoid icy roads, either way you're asking to end up in a snow bank.
D22369 0 #27 November 11, 2003 Since I generally pull around 2.5 K, pulling lower wouldnt get me much, and would only be pushing it..... RoyThey say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
weekendwonder 0 #28 November 11, 2003 What she said... We each have two pull altitudes: 1) The minimum altitude dictated as a "hard floor" based on your individual license/rating 2) The altitude where you are most comfortable dealing with the possibility of a mal. As long as 2) isn't lower than 1), it's your choice. Me? I'm something of a creature of habit, and try not to introduce unnecessary variables into the equation, regardless of temperature, if I don't have to. Bob Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
Newbie 0 #29 November 11, 2003 QuoteIn the warmer months I normally pull at about 3800-4000 almost every skydive. All winter long I'll pull at 2800. It does'nt bother me since I pull at 2200 on som RW stuff all summer too. how comes you pull so high? Wingsuit?
