dkf1979 0 #1 November 5, 2003 Say you jump from 14,000 feet... arched freefall you'll get about a minute of freefall. How much if any do you gain or lose of freefall time with a birdman suit? By the way that looks kewl as hell.http://bodypilot.bounceme.net
kimgriffin 0 #2 November 5, 2003 You get approx double the freefall time that someone with out a BirdMan suit would (meaning around 2 minutes.) There is no set time because suit model, body position and body type play a roll in fall rate even with a wingsuit. It is cool - and fun! You should shoot this question to the dedicated wingsuit forum on this site. There's lots of experienced bird people if you want other opinions. ~Kim BMI/E-Kimberly Griffin

DrewEckhardt 0 #4 November 12, 2003 2 minutes at sea level is not too tough. - A lot of flocking jumps fall faster - Some people can get their fall rate into the high 30s to low 40s (MPH). 40-50 is not atypical. - Yuri has gone 2 minutes on a BASE jump
