PhreeZone 20 #2 November 18, 2003 There have been some canopies that were extremely tapered in the past compared to a lot of todays currently manufactored canopies. The issue is they found that having too much taper on the leading edge could easly lead to canopies that want to spin on opening. Having too much taper on the rear made canopies that would collapse end cells when radical input was used. There is a fine balence between too much and just right. Canopies like the Samauri, Crossfire2 and Katana all are the most updated design, but there have been MUCH more radical canopies in the past.
