webracer 0 #3 October 27, 2003 propacking is the standard, and canopies open even better. Prices are up though not by alot. For gear use the gear reviews, that is very subjective. Go to your old or nearest dropzone, get the vibes and talk to the staff about getting back in. We can't help much here until you get in the air.Troy I am now free to exercise my downward mobility. Tonto 1 #4 October 27, 2003 Welcome back! Much has changed, and much is the same. There's a new Cypres, more electronic gizmo's, some waterproof since the gifted now choose to dunk their gear in ponds occasionally. I'd go to the USPA site and download the SIM to see the new stuff and how to get back into it. Good luck. tIt's the year of the Pig.

When I started you could get a Racer for $800 and a reserve for $500. Nowadays both rigs and canopies are pushing $2000. >List of top gear, containers, chutes. Hard to go wrong in most cases. A few recommendations: Basic container: -Mirage -Talon -Javelin Reserves: -PD -Amigo Mains: (for your assumed experience level) -Pilot -Spectre AAD: -Cypres >Latest uspa re certification procedures. Depends on how many jumps you had, where you stopped etc.

lovinit 0 #7 November 23, 2003 It is great that you are getting back in. I myself am going through a divorce, and have very very recently gotten into skydiving. Best of luck to you in your research. Any positive info you find that you could share would be greatly appreciated. Blue skies and soft landings Darren.
