Descriptions of exits by name?

Recommended Posts

Quote

I see lots of references to different exits by certain name., ie, someone just posted and named a "cannonball" exit.

Is there a place where these are defined? If not, does anyone want to post names and descriptions of some exits that they don't think everyone would know by name?

thx:)
Angela.

I don't know. I know some RW exits or exit parts will have names written in books. Same with some basic other exits.

Inside step, outside step, crotch, and RW ones I've heard (I can only remember "float" and maybe "center").

Apparently there is room to perform a service here. :)
I wish to name the "scared cat" exit - a poised step exit with a very stiff reverse arch and a slight unevenness in the arms and tilt to the head that results in the performer (e.g. a student on 10-second delay) immediately going back-to-earth. Terrified look optional but recommended, even if fake.

Out of a plane like an Otter or a Caravan you can launch just about any block you want to. Launching things like a Stairstep Diamond, a star or something harder like a Bipole just takes everyone knowing how to fly the exit in realtion to each other and in relation to the relative wind.

Yeah, I guess i'm asking just fun exits to try with two people. I'm freeflying, so not RW exits, but just goofy exits or something neat. I have heard like 'horny gorrilla" and some other things I can't think about, and it just seems like everyone knows what they are.

Anyhow, anyone know a few I could try? Describe?

thx :)

Rodeo exit. I don't know the details on doing this safely, but if you know what a rodeo is, basically the exit is just what it would take to do that, plus ducking.

2-person magic carpet - I believe each person holds the other's ankles.

horny gorilla isn't that common as an exit, but can be: its basically a group transition from a star to a sit with leg locks.

Tube/loop: everyone grabs leg straps/ass of person in front (forming a tube/loop) and you roll it out the door...did this with 12 people in 2 rows with cross-grips out of a skyvan.....
240+ mph windy and a lot of fun....
intend to try a 16-way at the x-mas boogie....:S:D

Shuttlecock/flower: hand grip plus other hand on harness/sleeve (which you then let go of out the door) this becomes head down and the more people = usualy more stable (ie 4 vs 2 ppl)

Mr bill= one person stand, other clinging to them like a reverse tandem. Pitch right off the door. Walk around/sit on their shoulders under canopy. Jump off them, open, land. Admire bruises and cuts. Do it too long off the door and you will come off. Also, if you do this with small elliptical canopies (in my dz's collective experience...ie lots!) you will have a very nice mal.....:D:S:o

Sit train. Pretty obvious isn't it. Sit posn either facing one another or in a row facing one direction, or a combination of them.

Rodeo, one behind the other, pull yourself on them as you hit the air to end up riding them like a cowboy in a rodeo....great fun if they're wearing a birdman...recommend trying to surf them too!! (Just watch their pins!!!)

These aren't really exits but are lots of fun.

Form a cat, then all track, person at front then attempts a front loop whilst all still holding on, Good fun. "Track/frap/flip a cat"

Oppenheimer. From a star. Release grips. All put one arm in and lock on wrists (ie all left hand or all right hand). Now all track until it disintegrates. Again, good fun....

Ummm I'm still at work, so that's about the extent of it at the mo...:S

The washing machine exit! Or at least that's how I call it!
Two people sit in the door, close together, looking inside the plane with their butt cheeks hanging in the wind...
Lock your arms and legs together. give a good backward impulse and stay tight together...
Look at your friends face while tumbling accross the sky!!
