Tailgate 0 #1 December 1, 2003 Finished AFF 2 weeks ago and I did my first 2 solo jumps yesterday. Way cool. I did notice that without the instructor along, the ground looks a LOT bigger. First jump I didn't do much but hang out and enjoy the feeling. second jump I did some turns. Line twist on the first opening ( spun it out) and one end cell did not fully initially inflate on the second (pumped it up) I got to get me some more of that _________________________________________________ Let me live in my house by the side of the road and be a friend to man- Sam Walter Foss

Mush 0 #4 December 1, 2003 Thats the coooooolest thing, solos are way fun, were for me. When you get out don't forget to flip over once in a while, do front/back loops, try barrel rolls again, fly on your back (container permitting) ask your instructors. Don't get stuck into the flat mode just because your just off aff or get tempted to try freefly, all that will come, this shit is FUN. Learn that YOU are flying YOUR body. Oh yea, get an audiable, don't trust what the ground looks like just yet, thats why we have the CYPRESS, just keep checking that alti. Have a blast
Tailgate 0 #5 December 1, 2003 Thanks, man. On the next jumps I plan on working on the AFF stuff till I get very comfortable with it and just DO instead of THINK and DO. I've got the Altimiter, working on an audible _________________________________________________ Let me live in my house by the side of the road and be a friend to man- Sam Walter Foss
RoadRash 0 #6 December 7, 2003 Just like everyone is saying, practice maneuvers. Also work on fundamentals of belly flying: turns, leg turns, loops, tracking, etc. Trust me, once you start jumping with others or freeflying, they come in handy and you feel waaaaay more confident!! Good luck!! AND YOU OWE BEEEEEEER!!!!!!!!!!!^_^~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Fly the friendly skies...^_^...})ii({...^_~...

sdgregory 0 #9 December 13, 2003 On my first solo I could do nothing but look around. I just did 90's and 180's and stared at everything.. I was so awed. Especially since it was the first time I could actually enjoy it because I was not thinking left turn right turn or anything like that. No agenda just watch the view and my altimeter. What a blast. Congrats to you. It only gets more fun from here.
