WFFC?

Recommended Posts

Color me stupid or color me new, but what is WFFC? I see it all the time but it seems to be used with more than one meaning.

Wild Free Flying Crazies? World Federation of Flying Canopies? What Freakin Foolishness Carl? Wright Flyer Flight Class? Whine, Flip, Fall, Crunch!

I give . . .:S

What is the WFFC? Well, I think that it means many things to many different people. You will find people talking about it reverently, since it is the Mecca of Skydiving. You will find some talking about it with a bit of a curse in their voice (on the years when they aren't lucky enough to go) You will find that some people will talk about it like a lover, since that is where they go to get in touch with the spirit and aura of skydiving. But essentially what it is; the finest Skydiving Event on the face of the earth.
At the WFFC there are the BEST skydivers, sharing their wisdom, time and jumps with the NEWEST skydivers. All of them coming together on common ground to talk about their common love. The WFFC is also the finest jumpfleet assembled at any one time for the art of skydiving. The WFFC is the most wonderful group of load organizers (free!) The WFFC is the best possible group of volunteers, and staff (about 300 of us!)You will find that almost everyone who has been there in any capacity, wants to return, and that longing is in their voice, their posts, and yes, even in their nicks. (Thanks Michael!) so when you see those trademark letters, it's all of us, and ALL OF THAT!

Okay, now that THAT is cleared up:S.

Thanks WFFC for identifying yourself. Now I know who everyone is talking about;)

Yeah, but what they are saying isn't always the truth when it comes to Michael ;)
May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
