cindee 0 #4 December 28, 2003 It was a beautiful day in NJ today. I was visiting family living 5 minutes from CrossKeys. Saw canopies in the sky as I drove home.__________________________________________________ "If happy little bluebirds fly above the rainbow, why oh why can't I?" BoogieBob 0 #6 December 28, 2003 I went to Raeford this afternoon. Nothing stirring there except Sheck on a tractor doing some landscaping. Sheck said that The Skydiving Place is usually open over the holidays so I went out to see. Very nice experience at The Skydiving Place. Nice people and I was even on an Otter load of only about 12 people (killer climb rate). The size of the landing area was quite comforting.
benny 0 #7 December 28, 2003 The 27th was wonderful! Did AFF Level II... wonderful, no need to bundle up, only a t-shirt under the jumpsuit. Made the canopy trip in particular much more enjoyable! Never go to a DZ strip show.

Of couse the first jump on the brand new canopy HAD to be an off landing in a nice dirt field. Good to see you both out there! BettyAnn Getting married? Check out my website! baa75 0 #14 December 29, 2003 That's what happens when you ask the pilot for a go round and they say - Just get the F out! Not an exact quote but close enough! (I heard later that he was low on fuel.) Can't say why for the other loads! Hmm...New canopy (downsized) torn ACL & leg brace...perfect conditions for an off landing! Ha ha! The landing actually was pretty nice anyway. Gotta love the Spectre! BettyAnn Getting married? Check out my website!
skyejumper 0 #15 December 29, 2003 It was in the 50's in So. Cal on the 27th and we were all FREEZING. I guess we're spoiled by the warmer temps the rest of the year, but everyone there had on layer upon layer! I made a dive, couldn't feel my fingers, and called it quits after that. You East Coast folks get props from me for being so rugged!
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
