gremlin 0 #4 December 23, 2003 Looks like I will have to wait til Lidkoping warms up a bit before I jump there.... I heard the end of July 04 was a good time I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....
chuteless 1 #5 December 23, 2003 I exited in -60 degrees F at 32500 feet. My eyes watered on the way down and froze, and the resulting ice scratched my eyeball badly. I didnt wear goggles then, but had a jet pilot helmet with a face visor. The visor actually caused a vortex which ground the eye across my eyeball. I didnt mind the cold, but the eye hurt. I finally closed that eye, and lost dept perception using only one eye
vonSanta 0 #6 December 23, 2003 Was colder here yesterday (weak Swedes; always knew us danes were tougher ). -21C at 3000 and -24C (according to the onboard thermometer) at 4000. You're right though; looks beuatiful when there's snow on the ground. The magic only lasts til you've landed. Freezing your arse off running to the unheated packing area is sorta a downer Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst
jaybo 0 #7 January 16, 2004 I'm feeling for you all. Especially those of you hit by that artic blast in North America this week. I made the move to Florida 3 years ago from New England and love it. It doesn't take long to acclimate to the warmer climate. So next month when a group of us are in Colorado boarding, we are going to freeze our tails off. Wishing you guys an early spring, if not, visit us down here...you won't want to leave!
