jkotch 0 #1 February 13, 2004 I've just seen the website for speed diving. It doesn't sound like there is alot of interest here in the US but mostly in Europe. Has anyone entered a speed competition or even just jumped for the fastest speed?
Amazon 7 #2 February 13, 2004 Staso (Stan Sniger from Mass)here on DZ.Com won one of the competions in Europe last year. Bobsled92 is interested in competing as well. I have not competed but when they hold the event at Orange Mass in Aug I am thinking of going for the grins value when the Eurogirls see me. So far my fastest speed was 253MPH... and I was not really trying that hard.. it was in my old RW suit I feel the need, the need for SPEED.

Amazon 7 #4 February 13, 2004 The average for the whole dive was 204 so I guess it was that which would be used.. still not too bad... I know some people get some wierd stuff in burbles and what not but I mounted one of my protracks on the MLW like Stan suggested.
Staso 0 #5 February 13, 2004 there will be a world cup meet in Orange, MA (jumptown.com, jumptown.com/events/speedskydiving.shtml) last weekend of August this year, which i happen to organize this year there will be 4 meets overall, in France, UK, Sweden and the US. i want to get more people interested in this discipline and to bring the competition to the US. it's pretty expensive to travel to Europe for competition, but if there is interest, there will be more events in the US. so if you're interested, show up and show what you've got :) you can register at jumptown.com web site for the even, or PM me. the event is also posted at dz.com calendar. i also have a link to Speed Skydiving forums in my signature, everybody is welcome to join ...
