labrys 0 #10 March 12, 2004 http://www.accessnorthga.com/news/ap_newfullstory.asp?ID=33693 Getting stuck in tree doesn't deter first-time skydiver The Associated Press - CEDARTOWN, Ga. Getting stuck dangling 60 feet up in a tree for almost four hours on her first solo parachute jump won't deter Nicki Sims from skydiving again, the 20-year-old Kennesaw woman said. "I'm definitely going up again," Sims said Thursday. "It was scary, but I really like skydiving." Sims said something went wrong as she was going in for a landing about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. "I think the wind picked up and I went into the trees," she said. Rescue workers got her out of the tree, about a quarter-mile into the woods off U.S. 278 between Cedartown and Rockmart, about 9:20 p.m. "For the first hour, I was really humorous about it, cracking jokes," she said. "Then I started feeling pain and I started getting an attitude with everyone. Then I passed out." Sims was examined at the Floyd Medical Center emergency room, uninjured but "really sore." ___ Information from: Rome News-TribuneOwned by Remi #?
