douwanto 22 #3 March 22, 2004 I think I enjoy that more than they enjoy the Jump. Hell I get upset if they arent screamin and jumpin around. Chris Uncle/GrandPapa Whit Unico Rodriguez # 245 Muff Brother # 2421
AggieDave 6 #4 March 22, 2004 QuoteHell I get upset if they arent screamin and jumpin around. And that's why the ones that are nervous in the plane and a bit scared are the most fun, since by the time they land, they've moved all of that negative energy into really positive energy. Thus they're yelling, laughing, jumping around. Man that's fun.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

SlyFox 0 #6 March 22, 2004 Great photo. A picture is worth a thousand words, and that one says it all. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****
redramdriver 0 #7 March 22, 2004 That picture should be above the following caption: "This is why WE jump out of airplanes!" Great Pic..So, you bring your beer? Its 5 o'clock somewhere POPS #9344

Lainey 0 #12 March 23, 2004 I think I was the worst tandem student even in the plane, I jumped at a dropzone that a friend worked at as a camera flyer so that kind of gave the TMs and everyone else in the plane some free reign to pick on me as much as possible. I was literally white and shaking with fear gripping onto my TMs leg the whole way up and all I’m listening to from everyone else is: oh they didn’t give you THAT rig did they? Oh you’re not jumping with HIM are you? Etc etc etc. ad nauseam. I’m sitting all hooked up in the plane and he’s trying to move me to the edge and I’m just shaking my head at him, I couldn’t even speak all I could think was uh-uh no way! But then somehow he got me out thank god!… I’ve got the video of when they get me on the ground I sound like I’m drunk, can’t even string a sentence together just laughing and saying thanks, totally amazed. Haha. It’s so cliché. They were all just laughing and shaking their heads at me. So yeah, thanks TMs you do an awesome job! . usedtajump 1 #14 March 23, 2004 Once had a guy get to altitude and he told that he just couldn't do it and wanted to ride the plane down, so we did. He told me how sorry he was about the whole thing as he was leaving and seemed so down on himself. All I could do was tell him it was OK and not to be too hard on himself and that I respected the courage it took to make the decision he did. About two hours later, he showed back up at the DZ and asked me if I would mind taking him up again and I told him Hell yeah, just pay for our slots and we're there. This time he didn't hesitate one bit on exit and the look of pride on his face and the joy that guy felt when we landed was only exceeded by the joy I felt for him. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.
Mush 0 #15 March 23, 2004 Started to lose faith in dz.com, but this thread is all good news, it's the happiest thing I've seen for quiet a while. I might have lost faith in my self but seeing that smile put it all back in the picture. TM'S, sometimes as a skydiver I forget what you guy's go through to keep this feeling alive. Nuff said. harryskydives 0 #16 March 31, 2004 It seems like some of the people that are the most apprehensive, are the most ecstatic once we are in freefall. I think once they feel we are in control their emotions really ramp through the roof. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
