We made a bunch of jumps today at SoBe! Awesome place, as it has been:-D Come play with us tomorrow, opening up at 9am! And, it is not shutting down... i'll see you at SoBe this weekend, and next weekend, and next weekend same # if ya need to call them.

I swear that place used to be a native american burial ground or something. There's like a DZ curse there.

Maybe an Exorcism Boogie wouldn't be a bad idea. We could do a bonfire, purify the ground with quality tequila, the works.

so the rumors have been flying lately on the net. all started by one person who signed up on this site 3 days ago for the sole purpose of slamming people and slamming a dz. i thought moderators are supposed to stop this from happening. but nooo, not a so called reputable person in the skydiving industry.
these nasty rumors seemed to have worked for a few hours, but only a few. so if you don't have the facts, you shouldn't speculate or form opinions from reading a post from an author who should be writing for the National Enquirer.

FACT.....SoBe is open and flew 8 loads today

FACT.....SoBe is under new and improved managemant

FACT.....the REAL owner of the Otter ( not a DZO) is at SoBe this weekend to oversee things and is happy with the way the things are running.

FACT.....Sobe will stay open and not have anymore issues with prior troublemakers

FACT......nothing has changed, just a couple people have left, leaving the people now in charge able to run the place correctly.

FACT......this never should have made it to a public forum.


i hope this clears any bs up people have seen floating around lately... we at Sobe are very proud of our dz and take offense when someone who has never even jumped there comes in, doesn't get what they want, and then throws a tantrum publicaly.
we love our dz and call it home and welcome all to come see how awesome it really is. I believe it will become one of the top dz's in the states sooner than later. but that's my opinion.

it only takes one ahole to start a rumor and then people are left depending the truth. that is the case regarding Sobe. as the thread above states, it only takes one witch to mix up her magic potion and cast it over the net.
when you see something that looks ridiculous, it usually is.

Sheez! I go away to New York for my brother's wedding and suddenly while I'm away from any computers they start talking about SOBE closing?! What the hay?! I'm still in NY but will be leaving on Friday, arriving back in FL on Saturday night probably, and I plan to come out and jump on Sunday (and my dad may come do another tandem!).

I missed coming out to jump on the weekend of the 20th because of other stuff and now it feels like I've been away for a lonnng time! (I hate that feeling!)

Jim or Angela, could either or both of you PM me and catch me up on whatever is the accurate story about what's gone on, please? I'd appreciate knowing what the truth is instead of becoming the victim of rumor-perpetuators. This is my home DZ, after all.
