Rebecca 0 #1 March 31, 2004 So, I'm sitting here, watching a documentary about the 25th anniversary of Young Frankenstein (one of my all-time favs, by the way), and what do I see? A plane load of skydivers dressed as Mel's monster, climbing in to go jump! They showed them in the plane, screaming "Pu-ing onna Riiiizzz" (that's "Putting on the Ritz" in monsterese), they showed a two-way linked monster exit, and also a landing. What an unexpected place to find our ilk!! So, which ones of you was it??? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? skybeergodd 0 #5 March 31, 2004 Hahahaha....I know the answer to that question cuz I was one of those guys singing like an idiot.....It was several years ago when MGM movies re-released the movie Young Frankenstein on it's 25th anniversary. They wanted to film 25 skydivers dressed like Young Frankenstein to jump into a town named Frankenstein and then rename the town to Young Frankenstein. As luck would have it there was only 1 town in the country named Frankenstein and it was in Missouri and only 30 mins. from my DZ so we got asked to do the promo. They brought in make-up artists and had Norm Kent do the video. It was a hell of alot of fun and the pay wasn't too bad either. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

skybeergodd 0 #7 April 1, 2004 No I have not seen the special.....I was one of the guys that was in the two way drag off too....My one shat at fame and I didn't even get to see it...It was a pretty fun day.....the landing area was a baseball field.. it was kinda tightr trying to get 25 people in there but it all worked out...a few people landed in a secondary feild that was picked out but the crowd didn't care.
