raftman 12 #27 April 16, 2004 I sell VW parts. My rigger drives a VW. Guess what? We have a deal. He doesn't sell any VW parts and I don't do any rigging...........or something like that. You get my drift. I DID buy him a bottle of his favorite vodka on my only reserve ride. And will again if needed. Bad vibes if ya don't.

Yeah, I was going to say that the poll is missing the nookie option. Now if only mine wouldn't have rushed me off the DZ 10 min after I landed, who cares if we had 12 hrs of driving a head of us, I wanted to bounce around like a bobble head on crack for a little while. Fly it like you stole it!

firstime 0 #31 April 17, 2004 I am surprised by some of the posts.. :"I pay the rigger to save my life". Yeah, yeah, yeah I know that is what they do for a living, but come on think about the amount of $ you have spent in your years skydiving. When you have a reserve ride, what the hell is the big deal about $15 or $20 bucks on a bottle or soda, dinner, lunch. It's all part of the camaraderie of this sport. As a matter of fact I have a bottle in my gear bag as we speak for tomorrow.
Romericus 0 #32 April 17, 2004 I've only had one reserve ride, and I bought my rigger a case of beer (he doesn't like liquor). My question is that when I was a rigger apprentice, I had two saves. Does that mean I should've gotten a bottle or does it go to the supervising rigger?
KevinAllen 0 #33 April 17, 2004 Always buy them a bottle. If they do'nt drink, by them some sparkling apple cider or something. Kev
ChileRelleno 0 #34 April 18, 2004 As I understand the rules its a bottle or dinner of their choice. Both of my saves were by the same rigger and he turned down either, he said he was just doing what he is supposed to do and the fact that I'm alive due to his work is reward enough. The offer will always be made to any rigger who saves my arse. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
