Romericus 0 #26 April 19, 2004 Yeah, I know what you mean. Tunnel time is wonderful. When I was in the Army at Ft. Bragg, I had some connections at the Wind Tunnel there (the one in "Cutaway") I went a couple of days. I think I got about 4 hours of flying time over those two days. Of course I couldn't stand up after that, my muscles were in so much pain. But the best part about it was that it was free!
Bodyflight.Net 0 #27 April 19, 2004 Thank you so much for the offer!! But I must politely decline you see I'm married to the best tunnel coach there is, besides $1950 for about 20 minutes is way outta my league. Thanks though really, I'm sure it's worth it if your looking for what they teach, I'm not sure I've ever heard of anyone who was disastisfied. Have fun!! When you get back, send me a pic, we're always looking for a new photo of the week for our homepage!!! QuoteThere's a good reason they call it crack At those prices, I'd say so!!! Bodyflight.Net 0 #36 April 19, 2004 A portable VWT budget for the 1st year of business should be approximately 1.5 million.. If you want to build an L1 or SkyVenture type, 5 million for the first year (including construction) should be enough. We've got lots of numbers if you'll make your way to the websites listed in my signature.

ripcords 0 #38 April 20, 2004 I agree, tunnel time is very addictive. I can't seem to go to Florida without hitting Skyventure. I find myself to be a bit of a pusher also. I tell anyone that I can, to go fly the tunnel, especially students that are having trouble. What a difference it makes for them! I keep watching the X-arena website to see if there is any progress on the one that is supposed to be built in Trenton, NJ, but haven't seen any progress on the arena yet, let alone the tunnel which is secondary to them it seems. Wish I had 4.5 mil to put one in my backyard!
sdctlc 0 #39 April 20, 2004 I just got done throwing together some editis for my group of 5 that went to the tunnel a week ago. It was fun going over it again and getting the vids for the "flyers" together. that damn tunnel is like a sweet drug, I figured that since I dont live with easy access to the Perris or Orlando tunnel I would go again the next night and took advantage of "Meeker Monday" at Perris. Great group last week (4/12) and big props out to Christy for getting the Meeker monday thing going. Great time and looking forward to getting to do it again. If you have not donw it and are in the area, dont pass up the opportunity to give it a try, Lots O Fun!!! Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
