sunnydee123 0 #1 April 26, 2004 So what do you do, when a milestone jump approaches, you are going to be away from your home DZ but at another really great place with LOTS of great skydivers and yet you doubt any of them would be able to be part of it with you? What would you do..................... I'm heading out to Perris to watch and support the folks who are part of the Big Way Record attempt this weekend and am very excited about it. If the weather cooperates, I'm sure 13 jumps won't be difficult to do in 3 days which will put me at the big #500. Of course, I'd love to do something really great with some of my favorite pals (and get video ) but what if everyone is busy with more important stuff? Does anyone other than the person celebrating it consider milestones a big deal? Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

skybytch 273 #3 April 26, 2004 Quoteyet you doubt any of them would be able to be part of it with you? Oh ye of little faith.. Why do you doubt? Even with the big way stuff going on, I think if you let one of the LO's there know what you'll be doing they'll be happy to help plan a cool skydive and get some really great skydivers to jump with you. From my experience doing special jumps - there's always people who will want to share it with you. Be flexible about when it happens - ie maybe at sunset when they're done with the record jumps for the day. And keep a change of clothes in your gear bag... Congrats, btw. 500 jumps already - you rock girl!

flyangel2 2 #9 April 26, 2004 I'm with Lisa on this. I always love to be part of a big milestone jump for other jumpers. Just ask, and the friends that want to be on it, will do it for you. Congrats.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #12 April 27, 2004 Quoteand we could definitely find someone to do outside-outside video ! What about Mel's awesome BF, Jason? He's soooo amazing. He and I saw each other yesterday at Perris as soon as I walked onto the DZ...sooo cool! I also saw a video of the final headdown bigway jump on Sunday. (Jason was part of the base on that one!) Those guys looked sooo amazing. My heart was bursting just watching the video...looked like such hard work!!! I just happened to be in the room with some of my RW friends watching their tunnel tape when the bigway guys came in. Wow, those guys & girls are so talented...whew! Mel, you must be so proud of J*!!! I can hardly wait to see Mel, Alli, and Denise too, in a few days. Congrats in advance, Denise. That jump will be sooo awesome!!! VanillaSkyGirl 6 #14 April 27, 2004 QuoteRosa.. you know its time to get you on your butt flying... and not just on your belly...mi amiga I have taken a freefly tunnel camp with Juliana and Fabian where I learned to sitfly and back fly (which I LOVED), but I cannot do this in the sky with my rig, yet. It doesn't fit me well enough (or at all) in the leg and lateral straps. With my small body size, I also need to downsize my canopy some more before getting a rig that will be freefly worthy and fit correctly. I just downsized to a 135...I wear weights (15 lbs.), but I am still just under 1:1. Also, I seriously STILL completely prefer belly to sitflying...in the tunnel, anyway. Anywho, that's probably the only time I can fun jump since I work weekends.
 sunnydee123 0 #16 April 27, 2004 Happy Hour jumps?.......................I'd be willling to jump on that deal for sure. Florida to California ain't a cheap trip PLUS I've been saying if I come back out to Perris I want to WITHOUT A DOUBT jump at 'Snore, cause it just seemed like such a great little place. @ Vanilla....if you saw J on vid you might have seen my guy too since I believe he is J's cross partner in the base . I hear things are building very nicely out there. Think I heard the #30 mentioned too . I can't wait to get out there and just absord some of the vibe. As for Pie, I won't hold my breath since I'll be so far from home and not known by many, but if I get some, I hope it's at least caught on video Not much longer...see ya soon Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
