Can I Jump At Perris Without An "A"

We require you to be a USPA member. Please be sure your reserve is in date and bring your identification (drivers license or passport) and your signed log book with you. Your logbook is required to show currency. You will need at least an "A" license if you have 30 or more jumps. We have study guides and tests available to help you accomplish this. Non-licensed skydivers are restricted to solo jumps. We host a full schedule of skydiving events throughout the year

According to your profile, you have 50 jumps in 5 years.

You might give the schools a call and ask about some sort of recurrency training that would allow you to jump solo until you get your A License. It's a pretty freekin' easy test and you could probably finish it off in a weekend.

And that is correct. I had 26 jumps up til about 6 months ago. Did the other 24, mostly in the past 3 months. Im just now getting to where I can jump regularly.

I'll bring my log book and gear. If I cant jump, no worries, I get to meet some people and thats the main reason Im going. The jumps would be a bonus, thats why I asked.

Thanks for the info

I didn't have my A until around 50 jumps.

I just never got around to filling in all the paperwork.

Then I got grounded one day because i didn't have the paperwork filled out. Took my 10 minutes to do, and I was back in the air....

Dude...just curious, nothing personal. If you have 50 jumps, why don't you have your A yet?

------------------------------------------------------------

I wonder that myself. dz where I did aff never even brought it up. I didnt know enough to ask. dz no longer exists. I had a LOT of shit keeping me grounded ($, wife, broken leg, wife) so my jump history has a LOT of recurrency jumps. Just recently able to jump regularly.

Im working on it:|

Do a couple of coach jumps with the perris valley school and get your A.

It'll make life much easier for you later on, because then, to jump somewhere, you just have to show your A card and logbook.

The requirements are really easy, and if you have 50 jumps, you should be able to handle them no prob.

Paul, as a USPA coach, can I jump with him after he's been checked out by the school?

Depends on the school and what they decide. Perris has alot of coaches that they like to refer unlicensed jumpers to. However, I think you'll be able to get on board with the gang. Katie has the final say at the school.

Thanks Lori, I guess I'll just have to check with Katie, and see if she thinks I'm up to speed to jump with Ed;) Can you PM me her contact information.

See ya in a few weeks.
