Cookie 0 #1 May 9, 2004 In Australia we have approximately 4000-5000 liscenced jumpers. Every year a few leave the sport and are replaced with the new but it seems to remain around 4-5k. We have a population of 20 million How many jumpers are there in the U.S.A What is the biggest all American formation ever built? In Australia I would say a 80way but Dave Rucket was on the load. quade 4 #4 May 9, 2004 There are -about- 300,000,000 people in the U.S. There are -about- 30,000 USPA members. It's very difficult to know how many of those members are "active", "rig owners" or simply "bought the t-shirt".quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Jimbo 0 #5 May 9, 2004 Of the 30,000 USPA members it's probably important to know how many bought memberships for tandem or AFF programs, but never renewed. Would a better measure be to determine the number of existing members who renewed over a one or two year period? I would think that those who bought memberships on a whim wouldn't renew, and those who have left the sport probably wouldn't renew either. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends.
