lowtimer 0 #1 May 30, 2004 Any advice for checking a rig as luggage? Already visited TSA and USPA websites, just wondering if anyone has any personal experiences they would like to share for future reference. ---------------------------------- Successfully avoiding adult responsibility since 1978! CDRINF 1 #2 May 30, 2004 Don't check it as luggage; carry it on in a backpack. I travel a lot with my rig and have only been tagged for a close inspection once. Once I explained what it was, the inspectors were satisfied. My wife's tote bag gets more attention. I have heared several horror stories, however, about checked rigs that had reserve cables cut when being inspected behind the scenes when the owner was not present. YahooLV 0 #3 May 30, 2004 There are MANY threads regarding this topic. Do a quick search...and read carefully what good things to do when travelling with a rig. (ie. Make sure you have a cypress card with you and be vigilant in watching the search.)http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
lowtimer 0 #4 May 31, 2004 You're right, I should've searched first. Sorry for cluttering the forums up with a new thread! I'll see what info I can dig up. ---------------------------------- Successfully avoiding adult responsibility since 1978!
