Sabre2th 0 #1 June 16, 2004 I have been playing with my front risers a lot..Hard turns, dives and such, up high of course. Can anyone tell me if there is something I should try with them or practice? I can make the canopy dive and turn HARD with these....anything else? Some trick I am missing out on? Nick. Those who dance, are cosidered insane by those who can't hear the music. towerrat 0 #2 June 16, 2004 ya know, at the risk of giving a cookie cutter answer, no-one here can really help you.Have you been through Bill Von's list? Not to sound condescending, but with only fifty jumps, you should be talking to your instructors, not just a bunch of jackasses on some on-line forum.risers can be great fun, and I've been having a fantastic time learning high performance landings, but make no mistake, you can DIE.Take a canopy course from a professional canopy course, it will be worth your time and effortPlay stupid games, win stupid prizes! ianmdrennan 2 #3 June 16, 2004 QuoteCan anyone tell me if there is something I should try with them or practice? Yeah, practice turning and "saving yourself" (yank a front riser up high and after 180 degrees get on the toggles like your life depends on it). Make sure you take note of how the canopy responds and just how high the toggle pressure is. Other than that, as suggested by others, take a canopy course and always, always consult your local instructors. EDIT: I see you jump @ ASC. You have a great resource Nate Gilbert there, as well as Dave Hebert and Hans Paulsen at "The Farm" just down the road. Don't be shy to use those resources. They're all good, approachable people. beowulf 1 #4 June 17, 2004 If you really want to learn how to fly your canopy using every input imaginable get with your local CReW dogs and do some CReW jumps. I have learned a lot about canopy control from them.

Guess I won't be one of those "jackasses" and offer what I have learned!
pccoder 0 #6 June 17, 2004 I totally agree. I've found when people even attempt to give any level of advice they end up being slamed by some many. Great post. PcCoder.net
